Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 31, 2026
This policy explains what data is collected when you visit roadtripcompass.com (the “Site”) and how it is used.
Who is responsible
The Site is published by Damien Joseph PROUET, Entrepreneur individuel (EI), reachable at contact@roadtripcompass.com. Full publisher details are on the Legal Notice page.
Data we collect
When you browse the Site, our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the Site and protect it against abuse.
When you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the content of your message, and we use them only to reply to you.
When you sign up for a free download or newsletter (if offered), we collect your name and email address to send you what you asked for and, where you agreed, occasional emails. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
Cookies and advertising
The Site may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. You can learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.
Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), we ask for your consent before non-essential cookies are set, and you can change your choice at any time.
Affiliate links
Some links are affiliate links. When you click one, the partner site may set its own cookies to attribute the booking or purchase. Their privacy policies apply on their sites.
How long we keep data
Emails are kept as long as needed to handle your request. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and U.S. state privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to object to or restrict its processing. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise your rights, email contact@roadtripcompass.com. If you are in the EU, you may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
